DAY AT THE CAPITOL

Day at the Capitol is an annual advocacy event hosted by CPCA Advocates that allows physicians, clinicians, directors, patients, and health center advocates to engage in dialogue with legislators and legislative staff about budget and legislative priorities impacting community health centers (CHCs). Day at the Capitol is critical as it is a forum in which the voice of CHCs can unite and be heard.

National Health Center Week is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association of Community Health Centers with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s community health centers over the past five decades.

POLICY & ISSUES FORUM

February 10-15, 2024 | Washington, DC

The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) hosts the Policy and Issues Forum (P&I) each year. P & I is an opportunity to gather community health center leaders who will descend on the halls of Congress, share stories about the impact of community health centers, and emphasize the importance of the future of community health centers. 

Event Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our conference must agree with CPCA Advocates' code of conduct. This will be enforced by CPCA Advocates' staff at all times. We thank you for your cooperation in ensuring that our conferences are a safe and inclusive professional development environment. Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes any and all harassment related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, ability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion. Inappropriate or unwelcome sexual attention is considered a form of harassment. Inappropriate comments, jokes, or imagery related to race, ethnicity, or any category mentioned above is strictly prohibited. CPCA Advocates has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind at CPCA Advocates events. Participants found to be violating this policy will be asked to leave the event, regardless of role, responsibility, or previous agreements. Participants are not entitled to a refund if found violating CPCA Advocates code of conduct. Participants are expected to maintain professional behavior standards while participating in CPCA Advocates events, and excessive intoxication is not permitted. The terms of this policy extend to all conference venues, including educational sessions, tradeshow, social activities, and online media. Participants will be asked to stop all harassing or inappropriate behavior if observed or reported to CPCA Advocates staff and will be expected to comply immediately. CPCA Advocates holds the right to remove any participant from a CPCA Advocates' event at its sole discretion, and such participants are not eligible for refunds. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference staff immediately.

COVID-19 VACCINE POLICY

CPCA ADVOCATES STRONGLY ENCOURAGES COVID-19 VACCINATION FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING IN-PERSON EVENTS.

AI NOTE-TAKING TOOLS POLICY STATEMENT

Effective 11/1/2023, CPCA prohibits the use of AI note-taking tools during virtual events. This policy is based on the following principles:

1. Preservation of Intellectual Property: Virtual events often involve the sharing of proprietary information, copyrighted materials, or confidential data. The use of AI note-taking tools can lead to unauthorized duplication and distribution of such content.

2. Active Participation: Encouraging active human engagement during virtual events fosters a more interactive and enriching experience. AI note-taking can deter participants from actively engaging in discussions and interactions.

3. Data Privacy: The use of AI note-taking tools may inadvertently capture and process sensitive information shared during virtual events. This can lead to concerns regarding data privacy and security.

Session facilitators have the authority to deny and or dismiss all AI Note-Taking tools from the event.
